Accessibility Services
We have the tools and experience to get you there.
Website Accessibility Review
We provide a report on the accessibility of either your full website, global sections (i.e. header, footer, sidebar, etc., including your entire home page), or by requested page(s). This includes performing both automated and manual checks with a variety of HTML Hypertext Markup Language , CSS Cascading Style Sheets and WCAG Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 validation tools.
In addition to code validation, we identify color-contrast issues and manually check keyboard-only and screen reader navigation. We then compile the results in the form of a gap-analysis to provide an overview of the current accessibility of your website, identify compliance exposures and recommend next steps for remediation. In some instances, depending on your preference and whether your administrative process and policy allows, we may offer to apply remediation directly. If you host PDF Portable Document Format or MS Microsoft Office Office documents from your website, we recommend including our PDF and/or MS Document Review Services (described below).
Get started with our Website Accessibility Review service.
Qualify and Compose Accessibility Certification (WCAG 2.0 Conformance Claim)
This service is to assist with composing a conformance claim under WCAG 2.0, suitable for display on your website. We recommend that it be done in conjunction with our Website Accessibility Review and after any necessary remediation. A qualified claim clearly states which pages are included in the claim (the scope) and that those pages meet the WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at either A, AA or AAA level of compliance. To make a conformance claim for your website, there must be no content which violates the applicable WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria. This qualification requires a comprehensive review of every page to be included in the conformance claim.
Have us assemble a qualified WCAG 2.0 Conformance Claim for your website.
Compose Accessibility Statement
This service engages us to compose an accurate and current Accessibility Statement (policy) suitable for display on your website. An Accessibility Statement consists of a policy page that communicates your position and efforts regarding the accessibility of your website. It highlights the accessibility features you provide and declares the level of standards compliance you have achieved and/or are targeting as a goal. The statement typically includes a list of the pages, sections and/or types of pages reviewed and the date of the most recent assessment. This statement provides visibility to your organization's ongoing intent and commitment to accessibility and accessibility standards and guidelines. We recommend that it be assembled in conjunction with our Website Accessibility Review and, if it is to include a conformance claim, after any necessary remediation.
Arrange to have us prepare an Accessibility Statement for your website.
PDF Accessibility Review and Guidance
We review a selected set or all of the PDF documents hosted on your website for ADA compatibility using Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines. Utilizing Adobe Acrobat accessibility checks and Read Out Loud functionality in addition to NVDA NonVisual Desktop Access screen reader checks, we report pass/fail for each document along with guidance and recommendation for remediation of issues found. In some instances, depending on the state of your source file(s) and whether your document management process and policy allows, we may be able to apply remediation. Our ability to offer remediation directly is evaluated on a document-by-document basis. Additional PDF accessibility testing detail:
- Verify the document properties include a title, a language and the initial view is set to the document title
- Verify that document is appropriately tagged
- Check document structure for logical reading order
- Check for content splits between tags which may make keyboard-only and screen reader navigation difficult
- Check for accessible handling of images and alt text
- Check tags, labels and correct tab order in forms and form fields
- Manually check tagging of links, tables and lists

In some instances, depending on the state of your source file(s) and whether your document management process and policy allows, we may be able to apply remediation. Our ability to offer remediation directly is evaluated on a document-by-document basis.
