Variety Children's Charity: Website Redesign and Ongoing Website Maintenance Services

Project Scope

The Variety Children's Charity is a philanthropic organization that provides assistance to disabled children in over 50 countries. The Northern California chapter, located in San Francisco, needed a new website where they could share their message, announce events, and inform the public about how they can get involved by volunteering with the organization. The site had to convey a warm and "caring" feeling to the viewer. Additionally, Variety needed to be able to update the site periodically with new content.

Solution

We incorporated elements from Variety's print collateral and color palette into the site design to make the website an extension of their existing brand identity. Many new features were incorporated to make it inviting and easy to use, including a Flash animation on the splash page as well as an "upcoming events" module that is visible on all lower-level pages. The resulting website has a warm feel, is easy to navigate, and offers information ranging from Variety's history to a call-to-action for volunteers.

Ongoing Website Maintenance Services

After the site launch, Variety signed on for Collaborint's Website Maintenance service.
